What is a kettlebell?

A kettlebell is a cannonball with a handle molded onto it. Founded in Russia more than 100 years ago, it quickly became an alternative form of weight resistance used in the Russian military to train soldiers, and then became a popular form of training for Russian athletes.

Kettlebells were introduced into the United States about five years ago by Pavel Tsatsouline and Dragon Door Publications. Many athletes and other individuals report better results with kettlebells than any other training tool available.
